1
Place an ad in your local newspaper. Most sporting event tickets can be found under headings such as "Events," "Tickets" or a similarly named choice. Some newspapers even allow users to post classified ads free of charge up to a certain number of words. Contact your local newspaper and inquire about the process and fees required to list the ad.

2
Post an announcement using social networking sites such as Facebook or Myspace. If this if your first time using either website, follow the on-screen instructions to create a user account. Let your family, friends and other social network associates know that you are reselling tickets to a sporting event.

3
Visit a college campus and find a main classroom building on campus. Place fliers on bulletin boards. Include your contact information, ticket and sporting event description and pricing information. College students are sometimes offered only one or two complimentary tickets to basketball, football and other campus sporting events. As a result, when additional family members or friends arrive, they need more tickets.
-
4
Sell your tickets through online venues such as StubHub or Seat Exchange. Each website offers users the ability to list and sell tickets online to popular sporting events such as basketball, baseball or hockey. Read each website's rules and regulations carefully before creating an account or attempting to list and sell tickets.
