Pointed Arrow Archery Program

Part of Lexington's 4-H club, the Pointed Arrow Archery Program is open to youths between 6 and 19 years old. The club is divided into two age groups, with 6- to 8-year-olds in one group and 9- to 19-year-olds in another. Pointed Arrow members hold monthly meetings, and the club has weekly shoots under the supervision of certified coaches. This archery club participates in district and state tournaments.

Blue Grass Sportsmen's League

About 30 minutes outside of Lexington, the Blue Grass Sportsmen's League offers a wide range of outdoor and skill sports to members, including skeet shooting, bass fishing, bullseye shooting, archery and more. As of September 2010, the second Wednesday of each month is for Archery Division meetings, a dinner and a team shoot. The BGSL Archery Division has an range in the woods with 15 3-D targets. The range is open every day and is $5 for BGSL members and $3 for Archery Division members. Annual passes are available for $40.

Anderson County Sportsmans Club

The Anderson County Sportsmans Club was established in 1968 and aims to promote and preserve the tradition of hunting and shooting sports. The club is in Lawrenceburg, about 30 minutes from Lexington. The non-profit club is private and operates through a network of volunteers. As of September 2010, ACSC holds a 3-D archery shoot on the fourth Saturday of each month. The event is open to the public, and costs $10 for participants 16 or older, $5 for youths between 11 and 15 years old and free for kids younger than 10.
