How to Fold Crossbows

Folding a crossbow can be a dangerous undertaking, particularly if the crossbow is heavy or bulky. It can also be difficult if you own different types of crossbows as they do not all fold inwardly in the same manner. The best universal approach is to push each side in.

Instructions

    • 1

Take the crossbow in your hand, and point it away from you. It is extremely important that there is no arrow remaining in the crossbow as this could result in injury or death as you try to fold it.

    • 2

Gently but firmly push the sides of the crossbow inward. Performing this task with slow force will ensure that you do not strain yourself and that you do not get any part of your skin caught in the crossbow.

    • 3

Set your crossbow down on a table or other flat surface. Depending on how elaborate the crossbow is, this step may be unnecessary. However, there are some crossbows that require a third vertical fold. Placing the crossbow on a flat surface to do this will make the final fold easier.
