1
Choose a date for your basketball banquet. Talk to the team players and other event attendees to find out what date will work best for your group.
-
2
Choose a banquet facility that falls within your budget and can accommodate your group. Make sure you arrange for enough chairs and tables for everyone who will be in attendance.
-
3
Arrange to have a podium with a microphone. You will handing out awards, so make sure the people being honored have a microphone and podium to give a speech.
-
4
Choose a caterer for your event. Banquet facilities will have caterers on site or they will be able to recommend a caterer in your community. Many people have allergies and dietary concerns, so address these issues with your guests and caterers before your event to accommodate everybody's needs.
-
5
Send out invitations to guests. You can send your basketball banquet invitations by snail mail, but sending invitations by email will save you time and money. Ask your guests to RSVP so you have an accurate count of attendees.
-
6
Hire a photographer and videographer. Commemorate the basketball season by hiring a photographer and videographer to capture video and still images of your awards ceremony and banquet.
-
7
Order trophies, plaques or other awards. Try to order the awards at least two weeks in advance so you are not rushing to complete this task at the last minute.
