Basketball Training in Pennsylvania

There are numerous training programs in Pennsylvania that help players of all ages improve their basketball skills and techniques. Some programs are coed while others are segregated by gender.
  1. Advanced Hoops

    • Advanced Hoops holds basketball camps in five locations in Southeastern Pennsylvania. It offers a variety of comprehensive camps for first graders through college students. Younger players attend day camps that do not last as long as the camps for players in high school and college.

    National Basketball Academy

    • The National Basketball Academy sponsors camps across Pennsylvania where children age seven through 16 can develop their skills with members of the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team. There were 18 such camps in 2010, including both day and overnight camps.

    Across the Board Hoops

    • Across the Board (ATB) Hoops, located in Pittsburgh, offers basketball training for all ages on both a weekly and hourly basis. Weekly training is available for $500, hourly training costs $70 per hour (as of July 2010). ATB Hoops begins its training with an assessment of basic skills, then moves on to more advanced techniques.

    Keystone State Camps

    • Keystone State Camps hold basketball programs at colleges throughout Pennsylvania. There are separate camps for boys and girls in grades 6-12. Camps are taught by certified National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) coaches.

    Next Level Hoops

    • Next Level Hoops, located in Northeastern Pennsylvania, offers camps and clinics run by high school and college coaches plus college and professional players. Next Level Hoops programs are geared towards middle and high school students.
