Basketball camps are an excellent way for young athletes to obtain extensive coaching in a formal environment. They give basketball players of all ages a chance to improve their skills and make new friends. There are many basketball camps run throughout the year in Wisconsin.
  1. Wisconsin Coaches Scouting Service

    • The Wisconsin Coaches Scouting Service (WCSS) began in 1984 at Concordia University in Mequon. It offers both boys' and girls' camps for the following age categories: fifth through seventh grade, seventh through ninth grade, eighth through ninth grade, and tenth through twelfth grade. Campers stay the entire time in the college's dormitories. The camps are three or four days long and the costs range from $225 to $335 as of 2010.

    Higher Level Camps

    • Higher Level Camps (HLC) was founded in 1995 by Cheryl Lynne Mohr and is held at Ripon College in Mt. Calvary. The camp emphasizes the fundamentals and basics of basketball. Programs are for both boys and girls grades three through 12. Cost for a five-day camp is $435 which includes lodging at the college's dorms.

    Don Gosz Basketball Camp

    • The Don Gosz Basketball Camp (DGBC) was started in 1964, and operates camps in Appleton/Menasha and Whitewater. The camp emphasizes shooting and offensive skills. Programs are for both boys and girls, grades four through 12. Campers will spend three nights at the LaQuinta Suites in Whitewater. Cost for the camp ranges from $465 to $655, which covers food and lodging as well as the camp.
