Things You'll Need
- PVC pipe, 1-inch diameter
- Tape measure
- Saw
- 14 PVC T-couplings
- 6 PVC elbows
- Black all-weather spray paint
Instructions
-
-
1
Cut the pipe into six 9 1/2-inch segments and six 16 1/2-inch pieces. Secure one of each to the top openings of six T-couplings.
-
2
Place elbow couplings on the open ends of the pipes attached to two of the T-couplings.
-
3
Place the bottom opening of a T-coupling on the open ends of the pipes attached to the remaining joined sections.
-
4
Cut six pieces of pipe 1 1/2 inches long and secure the joined sections in pairs, joining each section capped with an elbow to a section capped with a T-coupling, and the two remaining T-coupling sections together. You will have three narrow rectangles.
-
5
Cut four pieces of pipe 18 1/2 inches long each. Attach one to each opening on the narrow rectangle made up of two T-coupling sections, then attach one of the sections with elbow couplings to either side of the two T-coupling sections. You will have a rectangular shape with three slots, and the open ends of the T-couplings in the slot sections all facing in the same direction.
-
6
Cut six pieces of pipe 8 1/2 inches long each and attach one to each opening on the T-couplings on the slots of the rectangle.
-
7
Cut three pieces of pipe 1 1/2 inches long each and secure one between top openings on two T-couplings and the other two between an elbow and a top opening of the remaining T-couplings.
-
8
Cut two pieces of pipe 18 1/2 inches long and insert one into either open end of the two T-coupling pieces, then attach the remaining opening on the top of the T-couplings of the remaining pairings on either end of the pipe. This is the bottom bar.
-
9
Attach the bottom bar to the open ends of the 8 1/2-inch sections.
-
10
Spray the entire stand with black all-weather spray paint to protect the stand against inclement weather.
