How to Dry Out Boxing Gloves

Dry out your boxing gloves properly after each use. This keeps them functioning longer, while also preventing bad smells from occurring. The inside of the gloves tend to get wet with sweat, which can cause bacteria to form. Always wrap your hands before wearing boxing gloves; aside from protecting your hands, the wraps also help absorb most of the moisture.

      Wrap a towel around your hand and put your hand inside the glove to wipe off any damp sweat. Try to get the towel into all of the finger crevices.

      Spray the inside of the gloves with a boxing glove deodorant. This is will kill the fungus and bacteria that cause foul smells. This also helps to lengthen the life of your boxing gloves.

      Place the boxing gloves in a dry and shaded area, such as next to a window. Make sure the spot is breezy, but away from direct sunlight. Position the opening of the gloves facing out the window and leave them for at least 24 hours.

      Check the gloves to see if they are dry. Leave them longer, if necessary.

      Use a blow dryer, with its temperature set on cool, if you don't have an airy spot for your gloves. Avoid the hot air setting because this may cause the leather to become hard.
