How to Wrap the Palm of Your Hand

Martial artists who participate in sports that involve punching should wrap the palm, even if they wear boxing gloves. The hands contain many small bones that can be easily broken by repeated impact. Fighters may also experience scraped knuckles from the inside of the glove if they do not wrap the palm. Different fighters may wrap the palm in different ways, but all techniques should involve several layers around the palm and lacing the wrap through each finger for extra support. The following is a typical palm wrapping style.
