How to Do a Forward Outside 3-Turn on Ice Skates
Instructions
-
Left Foot
-
1
Push off with your right foot as you begin a forward outside 3-turn on ice skates, and start turning in a circle to the left.
-
2
Glide on two feet to begin with, and twist your upper body to the inside of the circle.
-
3
Hold your left arm back and bend your right arm at the elbow and cross it over your chest.
-
4
Twist your body to the left as you do the forward outside turn to the left on ice skates, and untwist your body so that you end up skating backwards, still in a circle.
-
5
Begin the forward outside 3-turn again on ice skates, but this time, lift up your right foot.
-
6
Repeat the rest of the above steps, and end up skating backward, still in a circle. Practice this over and over until you are able to do the forward outside 3-turn smoothly.
Right Foot
-
7
Repeat the outside 3-turn, but do so going around the circle to the right.
-
8
Start skating with both feet, and hold your right arm back, your left arm crossed over your chest.
-
9
Do the same steps again, but on just your right foot.
-
10
Practice the outside 3-turn over and over until you are able to do it smoothly to the right.
