Instructions

    • 1

Perform a 3-turn, making sure to extend your right foot behind you with your arms at your side, shoulders down and head up to start the Salchow jump.

    • 2

Scoop your right foot through counterclockwise once your weight is firmly on your back inside edge on your left side.

    • 3

Reach forward with your arms and jump as your right foot scoops up and over your left leg. The arms add power and will form a small arc at the apex of the Salchow jump if executed properly.

    • 4

Land on your right toepick going backwards with arms holding in an L-position. The left arm is in front and the right arm is at your side.

    • 5

Complete the maneuver with your weight on your back outside edge, right side. Your left leg acts as a counterbalance behind you.
