How to Make a Football Roster

A football roster is essentially a list of all the players on a football team. Rosters contain a lot of important information such as the members of the team, their jersey numbers and the positions that each person plays. Once you’ve made a team roster, post it on a bulletin board so people know if they’ve made the team, or use it on the team’s website so other people can learn more about the players.

      Open up a new spreadsheet and add a title at the top of the page. Title the roster the name of your team, and the year.

      Enter the other subtitles in a horizontal row underneath the main title of the spreadsheet. Write “No.” in the first cell, “Player” in the second, “Height” in the third, “Weight” in the fourth and finally “Position” in the next cell.

      Enter the player’s information under the appropriate subcategory. Although rosters are typically organized alphabetically, some football rosters organize players by the importance of their position as well.

      Save your work and go over the spreadsheet to make sure all the information is correct for each player.
