Instructions

1
Put on safety gloves and leave them on for each step.
-
2
Drip epoxy into the hosel joint of the putter head. This is the small metal joint that links the shaft and the putter head together.
-
3
Place the butt of the shaft on the ground (grip end) so the tip is sticking straight up.
-
4
Fit the hosel of the putter head over the tip of the shaft and press down until the head and shaft are firmly locked together.
-
5
Rest the putter against the wall, still with the head end up in the air, and allow it to set for at least 12 hours before moving on to the next step.
-
6
Place the shaft of the putter into vise clamps and tighten until it is firmly held in place. The toe of the putter head should be pointing straight up into the air.
-
7
Wind double-sided tape around the butt of the shaft, which is the area the new grip will cover.
-
8
Pour solvent into the new grip and plug the holes at either end with your thumb and index finger. Shake the grip vigorously to ensure solvent fully saturates the inner walls of the grip.
-
9
Dump the solvent out of the grip onto the tape portion of the shaft and slide the new grip over the tape. The flat edge of the grip should be on top, in line with the toe of the putter head.
-
10
Slide the grip all the way down until the butt of the grip is flush against the butt of the shaft and allow it to set for another 6 to 8 hours before using.
