Trail Riding Associations in Massachusetts

Horseback riders in Massachusetts have many options for trail riding associations and can participate in sponsored trail construction and maintenance, trail-use advocacy, educational programs, and recreational and competitive equestrian events. Trail riding organizations provide a forum for equestrians to learn about and discuss shared trail etiquette, landowner concerns and public green space conservation.     New England Horse and Trail

    • New England Horse and Trail is a recreational trail riding group that organizes and advertises trail rides in Massachusetts and throughout New England. NEHT has a trail mileage recognition program that offers awards for riding in NEHT-sponsored rides, as well as breed awards. Members are encouraged to share trailering to trail sites, and NEHT provides a means for members to communicate about shared transportation. The group also publishes a biannual calendar that lists group trail rides throughout New England.
