How to Find Honda Dirtbike Model Numbers

The Honda company produces motocross bikes, dual-sport bikes and trail bikes. Every dirt bike has a model number showing when and where the bike was manufactured. Honda dirt bikes have model numbers located in different areas. If you are unsure of your Honda model number, there are a few places you could look. Write down this model number, and keep it in a safe place in case you want to buy extra parts for your bike or it gets stolen.

Examine the dirt bike's "neck" frame. The neck is the long bar connecting the seat to the handlebars. Most Honda models have the serial number printed on a small metal plate found on the frame's neck.

Contact a Honda Powerhouse dealer. All Honda dealers have lists of bike models. Go to the "Honda Powerhouse Dealers" website, and enter your zip code to find a dealer near you. He will ask you questions about your bike and may ask to see the bike.
