How to Fold the Top of a Lacrosse Mesh

Lacrosse sticks come in a variety of sizes and with different stringing. When you are stringing your lacrosse stick, it’s important to get the netting right for proper control of the ball. Many players fold the top of the lacrosse mesh on top of itself because it can give power to the ball when thrown. You don’t have to be a lacrosse expert to fold the top of your mesh. You can it yourself with little hassle and minimal knowledge of the sport.

Things You'll Need

  • Leather string
  • 2 sidewall strings
  • 2 shooting strings
  • Mesh pocket
  • Lacrosse stick
  • Scissors

Instructions

      Stretch the stick mesh out with your hands.

      Fold the top over so the rougher side of the mesh is facing away from the stick head.

      Start lacing the mesh onto the top with the leather string so the fold is held together.

      Loop the string through the holes on the top of the stick head so the mesh is secured.

      Tie the ends of the string with overhead knots so it is tight. Cut any excess leather at the ends of the string.

      Use overhead knots to secure the mesh to the sides of the stick head and tie off the ends. Cut excess string from the ends.

      Use the same method to secure the mesh to the bottom of the stick head. Cut the remaining string from the stick head.
