1
Select your camo-colored spray paints. Think about your surroundings -- the color of foliage and tree trunks, for example. Purchase tan, hunter green, Earth brown and shadow black to provide you with an array of camouflage choices.
-
2
Slide on a pair of work gloves to protect your skin.
-
3
Draw various size stencils -- maple leaves, for example -- onto 1/4-inch polyethylene plastic. Cut out each stencil with a straight-edge knife.
-
4
Shade the entire stand with a base coat of spray paint. Apply the lightest color in your camo-colored selection. Allow two hours for the paint to dry before moving on.
-
5
Tape the large stencils onto the stand. Coat the center of each stencil with an apropos color -- e.g., an Earth-brown tone. Allow two hours for the paint to dry.
-
6
Tape the medium and small stencils onto the stand. Overlap portions of larger leaves for an authentic forest look. Coat the center of each stencil with an appropriate color -- e.g., hunter green. Allow two hours for the paint to dry.
