How to String a Gait Thrust

Gait Lacrosse has recently released its reworked version of the thrust lacrosse head. The new shape is said to offer better control, accuracy and ground ball pickup. With recessed lace channels, it can offer an easier stringing job and improve the on-field pickups. When strung correctly, the thrust offers improved accuracy and a quicker release.

Instructions

    • 1

Stretch out the mesh from the kit and lay it lengthwise across the head of your stick.

    • 2

Take a smaller length of the nylon string and use that to string the top of the stick. Loop the string through the top plastic and mesh. Make sure it stays tight.

    • 3

String the sidewalls of the two longer lengths of nylon. You may prefer to do them both at the same time so they stay even.

    • 4

Pull the sidewall strings tight when finished and use them to secure the bottom of the mesh to the stick. Loop the string through the holes at the bottom of the stick, as you did at the top.

    • 5

Add the shooting strings at your desired spot -- lower for a low release point and higher for a high release point.
