Splitrail Ski Pants Specifications

Skinny ski pants and bulky boots were not made for ease of dressing and undressing. The splitrail or side zip ski pant solves the problem for men, women and children
  1. Side Zippers

    • Splitrail ski pants are made with full length zippers from waist to cuff on both sides of the pants. The waist is generally elastic with hook and loop tape adjustments. Most splitrail ski pants are made of abrasion-resistant, waterproof Gore-Tex.

    Loose Fit

    • In contrast to the close-fitting ski pants seen on competitive skiers, splitrail ski pants are looser fitting and allow the skier to wear long underwear or sweatpants underneath. The long side zippers, as well as the pocket zippers must be waterproof.

    Names

    • Splitrail is only one designation for ski pants that zip on the side. They may also be called spire pants, ascent pants or full zip ski pants. They may or may not have a drop seat and removable, adjustable suspenders.
