Elan Black Magic Ski Specifications
-
Construction
-
Elan's Black Magic QT features the company's Monoblock technology. This proprietary system uses a load-bearing laminate shell around the core of the ski, improving its stability and evening its power transmission, while an edge-to-edge cap construction helps increase grip. The Black Magic features ELW 9.0 QT binding. It has black and gray graphics with an abstract floral theme.
Reinforcement
-
For reinforcement, the Elan Black Magic QT relies on fiberglass; placed on one side of the ski's woodcore, fiberglass helps increase the ski's flex stiffness and optimize its torsional stiffness. The ski also features lithium wire lining, a feature introduced by Elan in the 2010-11 product line; lithium helps improve rebound and increase edge grip. The outer body of the ski is made of fiberglass with carbon supports.
Torsion
-
The Black Magic QT uses Elan's WaveFlex technology, which combines soft, flexible construction with torsional stiffness, allowing for both long and short turns. According to Elan, this proprietary technology reduces the weight of the ski by 15 percent compared to traditional torsion systems. The Black Magic also features a Dualite woodcore, composed of two different kinds of lightweight wood materials.
Physical Specifications
-
