Twin Tip Skis
-
Conventional snow skis often feature a curving front section with a flattened back section. This design prevents skiers from riding backward. The flat back edge can catch the snow, which results in painful injuries. K2 created a pair of skis, known as the Twin Tip skis, that feature an elevated section at the front and back end. The Twin Tip skis allow slope-style riders to land backwards after completing spinning maneuvers. The models of the Twin Tip skis are available in different lengths. According to K2, the shortest version of the Domain Twin Tips measures in at around 5 feet, while the longest model has a length of just under 6 feet. Twin Tips feature a flat design that does not function well in deep snow.
