How to Fix Nicks in a Snowboard
A few nicks in your snowboard aren't going to slow you down, but they do takeaway from the look of your board. If you don't have time to get to the shop to have those gouges repaired, or don't want to spend the money, fix them yourself at home. All you need is some P-tex, a lighter and a metal scraper.
Things You'll Need
- Wet cloth
- P-tex
- Lighter
- Metal scraper
Instructions
-
-
1
Wipe your board down with a wet cloth to remove any debris.
-
2
Hold the P-tex stick over the nick and hold your lighter over it.
-
3
Ignite the lighter and allow the P-tex to melt and drip wax into the nick or gouge. It's okay to overfill because you're going to scrape off any excess wax.
-
4
Allow the wax 30 minutes to dry and set.
-
5
Scrape the excess wax off with your metal scraper until the wax is flush with your board. Do this gently to avoid causing scratches.
