How to Install a CO2 Cartridge in an HK USP CO2 Non Blow Back

The HK USP CO2 Non Blow Back pistol is an airsoft-type pistol for sport shooting of BB pellets. It is manufactured by Umarex as a licensed replica of an actual firearm made by German weapons firm Heckler and Koch. This sport pistol relies on carbon dioxide cartridges to propel the BB pellets. Installing a carbon dioxide cartridge, known as a "capsule," in this pistol is a simple procedure. A special wrench is included for installing the cartridge, and it should be installed along with new BB pellets.

Instructions

    • 1

Make sure the gun is empty of pellets; hold it so that the safety catch faces you and points to the right.

    • 2

Press the magazine latch below the trigger assembly; pull the magazine out of the handle by pulling on the edge of the magazine from the thumb indentation at its base. Stand the magazine on a flat surface so that it faces as it did when you pulled it out of the handle.

    • 3

Pull down the spring-loaded lever at the left of the magazine. Fill the large slanted hole above the lever with up to 16 rounds of 6 mm airsoft BB pellets.

    • 4

Put a drop of non-petroleum airgun oil on the tip of the carbon dioxide capsule. Pick up the magazine so that the top is tilted away from you and insert the capsule in the hole at the base of the magazine.

    • 5

Use the special wrench to tighten the cartridge piercing screw that is located at the base of the magazine.

    • 6

Place the magazine in the grip handle, pressing upward until the latch clicks.
