How to Disassemble a Taurus Millennium Pro

Taurus Millennium Pro pistols come in five different calibers. Each model features a polymer frame and a lightweight, compact design. Millennium Pro pistols are relatively easy to disassemble and require no tools.

Instructions

      Remove the pistol's magazine. Press the magazine release button on the left (rear view) side of the grip, just behind the trigger guard. Remove the magazine from the bottom of the grip, then make sure the chamber is empty by pulling the slide back completely.

      Remove the disassembly lever. Lock the slide back by pressing up on the slide catch lever while pulling back the slide. Turn the slide disassembly lever clockwise until it stops, then pull it out of the frame. You can find this lever along the left (rear view) side of the frame, above the trigger.

      Remove the slide. Carefully release the slide catch lever, letting the slide move forward on the frame. Pull the trigger, then move the slide forward off of the frame.

      Remove the recoil spring and guide rod. Turn the slide upside down and carefully lift out the spring from behind the barrel. This spring will be under slight pressure. The rod is contained within the spring.

      Remove the barrel. Lift the barrel up and pull it backward, out of the slide.
