How to become a certified MRT racket stringer

Certification is an important step in showing your customers that you are knowledgable and adhere to the standards of the profession. Racket stringing is no different than any other service industry. There are good stringers and their are terrible stringers. Become a certified racket stringer and start promoting yourself as a competent racket technician. I have been an MRT certified racket stringer for about 15 years and have strung rackets at GRAND SLAM tennis events and for the top pro's in the world!

      LEARN HOW TO STRING TENNIS RACKETS. It is important to have a year or more experience as a racket stringer before even thinking about becoming certified.

      VISIT THE USRSA WEBSITE. THe United States Racket Stringing Association is the governing body that certifies racket stringers in the USA. You will find a section that can help you advance as a stringer (books on stringing, get tips or take lessons), information on becoming certified, a study guide for certification and the application.

      TWO TYPES OF CERTIFICATION. You will see that there are two types of cerfitiications, the MRT - Master Racket Technician is the highest certificaiton. Not everyone will qualify for this one but it is worth mentioning here due to its credibility to show your customers.
