How to Turn While Driving a Ski Boat

For the best ride with the least disturbance to the water, drive in a barbell shape to whip the skier quickly around a circle turn.

Instructions

      Drive straight for as far as the water will allow. The more you turn, the rougher the water will become.

      Signal back to the skier that you are going to turn.

      Turn slightly to the left, then turn a full 180 degrees to the right. The diameter of your turning circle should be about 60 to 80 yards.

      Continue straight as far as the water allows and then repeat the same turn. Seen from above, this course would look like a barbell, with a long, straight middle and a circle at each end.
