How to Mold a Thermo Fit Liner

Ski-Tec waterskiing boots from Reflex Water Ski use snow ski technology for maximum comfort, safety and flexibility. These boots and their Reflex bindings are recommended for both experienced and novice water-skiers, as they offer maximum protection against potential injury. You can adjust various features of the Reflex boots and bindings for comfort and safety. One of the comfort features of the Reflex boot is a removable, insulating liner you can mold and remold to conform to your foot. You mold this "Thermo-Fit" liner after heating it in a regular oven.

Instructions

    • 1

Preheat your oven to precisely 210 degrees Fahrenheit. Use an oven thermometer to double-check the exact temperature of your oven. Place one liner inside the preheated oven, and allow it to remain inside for 5 minutes.

    • 2

Put on two athletic socks, one on top of the other, over whichever foot you want to fit first. This protects your foot from the heat, while enabling the liner to mold to the exact size that allows space for your foot to sit comfortably inside the boot.

    • 3

Put on the heat-resistant gloves, and remove the liner from your oven. Quickly slip your socked foot into the heated liner. Pull the liner over your foot, and quickly place your foot inside the boot as you would when wearing it to water-ski.

    • 4

Buckle your boot so that it fits just snugly -- not too tightly. Allow your foot to remain inside the boot for 5 minutes.

    • 5

Repeat Steps 1 to 4 for your other foot. You can remold your liners at any time, following these instructions.
