Types of Jet Ski Docks

When you have a jet ski, it is important to determine how you are going to keep it stored safely and securely when it is not in use. Fortunately, there are a variety of options for docking your jet ski.
  1. One-Piece Floating Dock

    • A one-piece floating jet ski dock is constructed of one piece of material that is solid and unchangeable. Often the material which it is made from is light in weight, increasing its level of portability. The disadvantage of a one-piece dock is that it is unable to be changed, so you will possibly need to replace it if you purchase another jet ski of a different size or if it is damaged in one part.

    Modular Floating Dock

    • A modular floating jet ski dock is able to have its size and shape changed because it is constructed of many smaller pieces. Additionally, because the rear of the dock is flexible and able to submerge under water when the jet ski drives on it, it is easier to drive on than a floating dock. Also, damage to the dock is less of an issue because it is able to be fixed more easily or pieces can be replaced. While there are many positives to the modular floating jet ski dock, the downside is that it tends to weigh more and can be far more expensive than a floating dock.

    Manual Lift

    • Your jet ski can also be docked on a manual lift. Made of aluminum with wooden areas for the jet ski to sit on, the manual lift is light and easy to use. A winch system, activated by the operator spinning a wheel, lifts and raises the platform.

    Electric Lift

    • The electric lift is another option for your jet ski. The electric lift is especially useful for docking of jet skis in deeper water such as a harbor. Like the manual lift, it is constructed of aluminum as well but the raising and lowering of the frame is done with an electric motor and the rider stays on the jet ski during the process.
