How to Heat Nordica Boots

Ill-fitting ski or snowboarding boots can cause you discomfort and difficulty when maneuvering. Nordica boots contain heat-ready or heat-moldable lining that allows the wearer to create a custom fit boot. The heat-softened lining conforms to the contours of your foot, including the heel, to create a foot-hugging fit. Nordica retailers may offer to heat fit the boots in the store. However, if you order online or the retailer does not offer this service, you can heat your Nordica boots at home.

Instructions

    • 1

Pull the lining out of both Nordica boots.

    • 2

Place one of the linings in the clothes dryer.

    • 3

Run the dryer on high for 10 minutes without a cool down.

    • 4

Place the lining back inside the boot.

    • 5

Put on a thin sock and step into the boot.

    • 6

Stomp on the boot to force the heated lining to conform to your foot.

    • 7

Strap the boot on as tightly as you would if you were skiing or snowboarding.

    • 8

Repeat steps 2 through 7 for the other lining.

    • 9

Walk around in the boots for 15 minutes to allow the lining to cool and conform to the shape and pressure of your foot.
