How to Make Cheerleading French Bow Clips

- Needle

- French clips

Cut the ribbon to twice the desired length. If desired, add multiple sizes and colors of ribbon for a layered effect. Fold the ribbon into a loop, with the ends slightly overlapping.

Thread your needle and knot the end of the thread. Push the needle through the overlapping ends of the ribbon loop, and then out through the other side. Be sure that you have it centered properly, since this will form the middle of the bow.

Hold the ribbon loop with your non-dominant hand and flatten it out. Wrap the thread around the center of the loop, cinching the middle together to form the bow. Wrap the thread around several times to form a secure center, and then knot the thread to finish.

Cut a smaller piece of ribbon and hot glue it to the center of the bow to cover the thread. Hot glue the entire bow to the french clip, avoiding the hinge. Let cool completely before handling or wearing.
