Youth Cheerleading Grants

The cost of enrolling into a youth cheerleading program can vary from $350 to $5000 per child depending on the type of team and traveling that my be required. Parents have the opportunity to apply for various grant programs that aid in the expenses of tuition and uniform costs. Applicants are selected based on the requirements of the sponsor.
  1. United Cheer and Dance Foundation

    • The United Cheer and Dance Foundation focuses on providing events that are both challenging and affordable to youth cheerleaders. This program allows applicants to request an amount of financial assistance needed. The grant program is ongoing, so there is never a deadline to meet. As of 2010, a $10 nonrefundable registration fee is required in order to be considered. This foundation requests information regarding the child's cheerleading history and any organizations she currently belong to.

    Pop Warner Grants

    • Pop Warner is an organization that helps young athletes--including cheerleaders--participate in activities that promote a safe, structured and fun environment. The most recent grant available was the 2010 uniform grant in which an applicant could receive a voucher for $500 to go toward uniform costs. Pop Warner regularly offers grant programs to help make the sport more affordable and available to a variety of children.

    American Youth Football and Cheer

    • This organization offers grant opportunities periodically throughout the year. As each grant is announced, members will be able to apply for the award online by filling out the required documentation. Each grant program is unique and offers different amounts based on the availability of funds.
