      Purchase knee pads and glitter. If you purchase cloth knee pads, you can opt for glue and glitter or a glitter glue. If you purchase knee pads that contain plastic, using a glue with glitter in it may be an easier route to take.

      Choose your colors. You can opt to use glitter to represent school colors or your favorite colors.

      Think about a design. Write your school's mascot, your name, initials or draw small pictures -- such as stars and hearts.

      Apply your design. Using glue or glitter glue, draw your design on your knee pads. If using glitter glue, let dry and you are finished.

      Apply glitter. If using glue, place the knee pads over a piece of newspaper. Spill glitter all over the portion of your knee pads where you have applied glue. Turn the knee pads over and shake off any excess glitter. Allow time to dry.
