Instructions

    • 1

Lay out a sheet of felt in a color of your choice on a flat surface. Draw a sideways isosceles triangle on the surface of the felt with your straightedge and your permanent marker or chalk; this will create the shape of a pennant.

    • 2

Cut out the pennant shape with a sharp pair of scissors and set it aside.

    • 3

Stencil or hand-draw letters to spell out your team's name on another piece of felt; this felt can be the same color of the pennant base, but you'll have to paint the letters another color with fabric paint to make them legible. Cut out the letters with a sharp pair of scissors and assemble them on the surface of the pennant to ensure everything fits.

    • 4

Secure the letters in place with fabric glue. Add other decorative embellishments like beads, glitter or paint, if desired.

    • 5

Hang the pennant in your home, or glue a wooden dowel to the long straight side of the pennant opposite the pointed edge to create a handle.
