3-D Basketball
-
1
Mix one part flour to three parts water. Stir well. When all the lumps are gone, add two drops of wintergreen oil and stir thoroughly.
-
2
Tear narrow strips of newspaper into the flour and water mixture. Wrap the strips around an old, inflated beach ball. Overlap the wet pieces to completely cover the ball. Allow to dry overnight.
-
3
Cut the hardened paper off the beach ball by cutting directly down the center of the created paper ball. Remove the beach ball from inside.
-
4
Paint each half of the cut ball. Give the appearance of a basketball with an orange base and black stripes.
-
5
Hot glue the painted half-ball onto a piece of poster board. Use markers to place team name and event information around the ball. Use the other half of the ball to create a second poster.
Ceiling Hanging
-
6
Paint a large craft ball orange and add black stripes to resemble a basketball. Allow to dry for several hours. Select a ball similar in size to a basketball.
-
7
Use black paint or markers to add the event information onto the ball.
-
8
Staple a piece of string to the top of the ball. Hang it from the ceiling or place it onto bulletin boards where basketball fans gather.
Foam Poster
-
9
Cut an oversized circle from a sheet of thick foam.
-
10
Paint the entire circle of foam orange.
-
11
Create black lines on the painted ball with black ribbon. Hot glue the ribbon in place.
-
12
Cut out letters of the team name or other information from colored paper. Glue them to the poster. The thickness and shape of the poster will draw attention.
