How to Do a 360 Inward Heel Flip

A 360 inward heel flip, also known as a 360 inward heel, involves flipping the skateboard with your heel as you simultaneously spin the board a complete 360 degrees. This is a very difficult trick to master and should only be attempted by already accomplished skateboarders. It is advisable to learn tre flips, laser flips and 360 hard-flips first, so you will have a good foundation to attempt this trick.

Put your leading foot in the basic heel-flip position, which is in the middle of the board, on the edge of the board. Your heel should be resting in the groove of the lip of the board and your other foot should be poised on the tail.

Perform an ollie, which is flipping the board up in the air by stamping down on the tail. Do this as high as you can, while you are going at a moderate speed. Your speed can increase once you have mastered the trick.

    • 3

Flick your heel away from you, when the board reaches the height where it is level, while you simultaneously sweep the tail of the board behind you. The second motion on its own is called a pop shuvit. This is sending the board in a 360 degree spin.

Bend your knees as high as you can as the board spins around, to ensure you don't catch it and disturb its rotation.

Look for the grip tape to come around to its normal position and stamp both feet down onto it while it is in the air. Making sure you catch the board in the air will improve how this trick looks.
