How to Use a HomeSwimmer on an Above Ground Pool

The HomeSwimmer Stationary Swimming System is designed for in-ground pools. The pole stands on the bottom of the pool and is held by a leash attached to an anchor point outside the pool. You wear a special harness that attaches to the top of the pole. When you swim against the pull of the pole, it flexes, giving you a comfortable swim. Above-ground pools can also take advantage of the HomeSwimmer's exercise benefits. A simple change in the setup of the HomeSwimmer allows it to be used in above-ground pools.

Instructions

Anchor the pole with the stake and strap that comes in the box. Hammer the stake into the ground away from the pool and tie the strap down to it. Use a strong knot to secure it. Stand up the pole against the side of the pool. Then, you can attach the strap and belt to begin training.

Tie the strap to a nearby tree or rock. Remove the pole and use the resistance of a nearby object for training with your HomeSwimmer. Make sure it is high enough to provide support for the body.

Tie down the strap to your pool skimmer, side of pool, or an improvised anchor. Use the pole setup inside the pool and use any nearby anchor point. you may need to use multiple anchor points depending on your training schedule or swim regimen.
