How to Reset a Sportline Step

The Sportline Step is a basic pedometer that displays your progress in either number of steps or distance traveled. You can set the Sportline Step to display the distance in either kilometers or miles. For the pedometer to accurately calculate the distance, you must first measure and input your stride length. The Sportline Step converts your step distance into total distance. Before you start a walking session, reset the distance and step data back to zero.

      Hold the Sportline Step pedometer in one hand with the display facing up.

      Press and hold the "R/S" button, which is the reset button, for one second. This resets both the step and distance data to zero.

      Clip the pedometer to your pant waist and start walking.

      Press the Mode button until the device reads "Step." Hold the Mode button down again for five seconds until the display changes to reset the device to factory settings.
