Instructions

    • 1

Remove the parts for the X-Pole from the shipping container. Double-check the packing list to make sure that no parts are missing.

    • 2

Locate a ceiling joist in the area where you'll be assembling and mounting the X-Pole. Use a stud finder and follow the manufacturer's instructions for its use. Mark the location of the ceiling joist with a pencil.

    • 3

Measure the distance from the floor to the pencil mark on the ceiling. Refer to the chart in the X-Pole instructions to determine what size extension, if any, is necessary.

    • 4

Push the extension, or the B-Pole if no extension is required, onto the upper support plate. Make sure that the pins in the upper support plate align with the notches in the extension or the B-Pole.

    • 5

Insert an X-Joint into the extension. Make sure that the pin in the X-Joint seats in the rounded slot in the extension, and that the hex keyhole in the pole aligns with the hex key locking screw in the X-Joint.

    • 6

Insert the other end of the X-Joint into the B-pole section in the same manner.

    • 7

Tighten the Allen screws clockwise in the X-Joint until they are lightly tightened, using the Allen wrench that comes with the X-Pole. Ensure that the extension and B-Pole sections are tight together.

    • 8

Tighten the hex screws clockwise, progressively alternating between one screw and the other. This will ensure that the X-Joint expands evenly and fully to secure both the extension and the B-Pole.

    • 9

Insert another X-Joint into the other end of the B-pole. Make sure that the pin in the X-Joint seats in the rounded slot in the extension, and that the hex keyhole in the pole aligns with the hex key locking screw in the X-Joint.

    • 10

Insert the other end of the X-Joint into the A-pole section in the same manner.

    • 11

Tighten the Allen screws clockwise in the X-Joint until they are lightly tightened, using the Allen wrench that comes with the X-Pole. Ensure that the A-Pole and B-Pole sections are tight together.

    • 12

Tighten the hex screws clockwise, progressively alternating between one screw and the other. This ensures that the X-Joint expands evenly and fully to secure both the A-Pole and the B-Pole.

    • 13

Loosen the locking nut on the A-Pole, using an adjustable wrench. Slip the articulating base onto the adjuster rod in the A-Pole to complete the assembly of the X-Pole.
