Nike Triax C5 Directions

The Nike Triax C5 is a wireless heart rate transmitter with a wrist monitor. The wrist monitor includes chronograph and basic watch functions. The Triax C5 allows you to set heart rate target zones. A visual and audible alarm warns you if you are training outside of the target zone. In watch mode, the display shows the time and date. In chronograph mode, the display shows your exercise duration and in exercise mode, the display shows your heart rate.

Instructions

  1. Set Date and Time

      Press the "mode" button repeatedly until you reach the time mode.

      Press and hold the "Set/Light" button for three seconds.

      Use the "Start" and "Stop" buttons to select a value. The "Start" button increases the value; the "Stop" button decreases the value. Press the "Mode" button to set the value. Do this for the hour, minutes, seconds, day, year and 12 or 24 hour time selection.

      Press the "Set/light" button to save your settings and exit the set-up mode.

    Set a Heart Rate Zone

      Repeatedly press the "Mode" button until "Run" displays on the screen.

      Press and hold the "Set/Light" button for three seconds.

      Use the "Start" and "Stop" buttons to select your values on each screen. The first screen sets the heart rate zone feature on or off. The next two screens ask for the upper and lower heart rate limits. The last screen allows you to turn the audible alarm on or off. Press the "Mode" button to lock in each value.

      Press the "Set/Light" button to save your settings.

    Use the Chronograph

      Press the "Mode" button repeatedly until "Run" appears in the display.

      Repeatedly press the button on the face of the watch until the chronograph appears in the display.

      Press the "Start" button to activate the chronograph, and press the "Stop" button to stop it. While the chronograph is running, press the button on the face of the watch to switch displays from the chronograph to your heart rate data. Press the "Stop" button a second time to clear the chronograph.

    Check Your Heart Rate

      Wrap the transmitter strap around your torso just below your chest.

      Moisten the grooved areas on the inside of the strap.

      Repeatedly press the "Mode" button on the wrist monitor until "Run" appears in the screen.

      Press the "Start" button.
