How to Use Risers for Step Aerobics

- Aerobic step bench
- Step bench risers

Obtain risers that fit your model of step bench. Risers are used in sets of two. Each set of risers will increase the step height by 2 inches.

Snap a riser into the bottom of each end of the bench. Turn the bench so it is upright with the riser feet resting on the floor. Use your hands to push down hard on the bench to make sure it is firmly attached to the riser.

Practice several simple step aerobic routines slowly. When you are used to the new height continue with full step aerobic workouts.

Add new risers by snapping them in to place on the existing risers. Test the stability of the bench each time you make it higher. Work your routines slowly until you adapt to the new height.

Remove risers by grasping the aerobic step bench with one hand and a riser in the other hand. Tug firmly until the units snap apart.
