How to Throw Screwdrivers

The throwing knife is a weapon with a long history. It is a carefully balanced weapon designed to be thrown through the air, spinning end-over-end at the target. When purpose-made weapons are not available, it is possible to improvise weapons. For example, a thrown screwdriver can substitute for a throwing knife. However, the technique for throwing a screwdriver is different from knife-throwing technique, since the weight balance of the two weapons differs.

      Cradle the handle of the screwdriver in the palm of your hand.

      Hold the metal part of the screwdriver with your thumb (on one side) and with your index and middle fingers (on the other side).

      Extend your arm forcefully as if you are making a low punch.

      Let the screwdriver slide out easily out from your grip, through the air and into your target.
