Large Alice Pack Instructions

An Alice, or all-purpose lightweight individual carrying equipment, pack is a large backpack designed for carrying loads up to 70 pounds on an external frame. The backpack features three lower pockets designed to carry snow skis and other necessary equipment. Shorten and compress the pack when it is not filled completely. An additional cargo shelf holds weighty items such as fuel and ammunition. Add a waterproof liner or a camouflage cover as needed.

      Slide the backpack frame into the sleeve located on the rear of the backpack.

      Position the shoulder strap with the quick-release assembly on your left shoulder. Put the looped end of the strap through the plastic grommet and slide the opposite strap end through the loop. Pull the strap tight. Take the loose end of the strap and slide it through the metal keeper and buckle located on the top of the frame. Tighten the buckle. Repeat for the other strap on your right shoulder.

      Tie the looped end of a waist strap around the lower part of the pack frame. Position the quick-release pull tab on the side you prefer. Slide the opposite end of the strap through the loop. Pull the strap tight. Repeat this process for the other waist strap.

      Wrap the webbed straps located on the bottom of the backpack around the frame twice. Buckle the strap.

      Load the backpack with your gear. Adjust the buckles on the shoulder and waist straps to a comfortable position.
