Forester Tent Set Up Instructions

The Coleman Forrester tent is a spacious dome tent that accommodates up to six campers. Though the Forrester is discontinued, its design is similar to the 13-by-9 foot Coleman Tacoma tent. A weather-resistant nylon body, rain fly, zipper protection and a waterproof floor make this tent a cozy retreat, even on rainy nights. Mesh windows offer excellent ventilation, and a divider wall creates privacy when you need it. The Forrester comes with sturdy, shock-corded tent poles and a storage bag.

Instructions

      Unroll your tent and position the doors where you want them. Unzip the doors. Pull the floor tight and secure the corners with tent stakes.

      Extend the tent poles. Slide the two main tent poles through the sleeves sewn onto the roof of the tent. The poles run parallel to each other.

      Cross the longer tent pole over the main tent poles and slide it through the remaining sleeves on the roof of the tent.

      Put one end of the longer tent pole into a metal pin at the corner of the tent base. Arch the pole gently until you can put the other end into the opposite metal pin. Repeat this for the two main tent poles and their corresponding metal pins.

      Locate the plastic clips sewn along the seams of the tent and attach them to the tent frame.

      Extend the rain fly poles and slide them through the pole sleeves on the rain fly. Spread the rain fly over the tent, with the poles hanging over the doors. Attach the "S" hooks from the rain fly to the metal loops located next to the metal pins at the base of the tent.

      Put the rain fly poles into the grommets located on the tent body. Fasten the Velcro attachments sewn onto the rain fly to the tent frame to secure. Stake the guy lines to secure the tent.
