Sided Dome Tent Instructions

Sided dome tents have side sections that offer more shelter and storage space, but they require extra parts for assembly. That adds weight and complicates the assembly compared to regular dome tents. Practice assembling your sided tent to familiarize yourself with all its parts and sections before braving the outdoors.

      Lay the sided dome tent out with its doors facing your desired direction. Stake down the corners of the tent with the stake loops while keeping the tent floor taut.

      Assemble the shock-corded poles by interlocking them then insert the center frame poles into the center sleeves. Allow the poles to form an "X" in the tent's middle.

      Insert the side frame poles through the pole sleeves at the sided part of the tent.

      Unzip the tent doors and assemble the two frame poles diagonally. Pin the poles into the pole ends on either side of the front doors and to the opposite ends on the back side of the tent. Fasten the tent frame clips to poles.

      Assemble the side frame poles by inserting both sides onto the pins. Apply pressure so that the pole arches just enough to fit on the pins. Fasten all frame clips.

      Assemble the interlocking rain fly poles. Insert the poles into pole sleeves at the underside of rain fly then drape the rain fly over your tent. Secure by inserting the rain fly pole ends into the tent body grommets.

      Tie the underside of the rain fly to the tent poles with fabric ties. Then attach guy lines to the fly fabric loops. Stake out the guy lines at an angle pointing away from the sided tent.
