Texsport Square Dome Tent Instructions

The Lodge square dome tent, manufactured by Texsport, adds more comfort and sleeping space to your SUV. The square dome tent provides sleeping quarters for up to five campers, and it can be set up in only a few minutes. The Lodge tent features an extended awning, sturdy shock-corded tent poles, mesh windows for ventilation and it can be used either with your SUV or on its own. Instructions

      Unroll and spread out your dome tent where you want to set it up. Extend the tent poles and slide them through the sleeves on the roof of the tent, forming an "X." Fasten the center of the "X" to the tent with the attached toggle.

      Put one end of a tent pole into a metal pin at the corner base of the tent. Bend the pole, forming an arch, and insert the other end into the opposite pin. Repeat for the other pole.

      Lay the rain fly over the tent frame, with the front hanging over the tent door. Attach the plastic hooks to the tabs that are sewn onto the tent. Wrap the Velcro from the rain fly around the tent poles.

      Extend the awning poles. Tie a loop on one end of the guy rope and tie the clew onto the other end. Put the tip of the awning pole through the grommet on the awning. Wrap the guy rope around the pole tip and stake down the other end to secure. Adjust tension using the clew. Repeat for the other awning pole.

      Back your SUV up to the tent as close as possible. With two adults, wrap the tent body around the SUV frame and the bumper. Fasten the web strap buckles and tighten the straps.
