1
Locate the desired location for your ShelterLogic Round Top enclosure.
-
2
Attach the rib sections together, starting with the middle ribs. Join the side bend rib sections with a 3-1/2-inch bolt using an adjustable wrench. Connect each upright rib sections to the side bend sections with a 2-inch bolt. Repeat the process for the other middle rib piece, if there is one. Connect the end ribs together in the same manner, except use 3-inch bolts instead of 3-1/2 inch bolts.
-
3
Place an assembled end rib in the area where the shelter will go. Attach a ShelterLock anti-rack device on each upright just below where the curve of the rib begins using 1-5/8-inch bolts.
-
4
Attach a plain end of a side rail through the anti-rack device and attach a nut to the end of the bolt to secure it. Thread the side rail through the other anti-rack devices on the same sides of the shelter, then repeat for the other side.
-
5
Attach the wind braces between the end and middle rib sections. Secure the braces to the lower part of the upright sections of the legs with supplied bolts and nuts. Repeat for the other rib sections in the same manner.
-
6
Secure the top rail by sliding it beneath each end rib section but over each middle rib section, then attaching it with bolts and nuts -- using 3-inch bolts for the end sections and ladder bolts for the middle sections.
-
7
Connect the foot plates to the end of each leg of the middle rib sections. Slide the foot plates onto the ends and secure using 2-inch bolts and nuts.
-
8
Install auger anchors inside the shelter. Insert a 3/4-inch steel rod through the eyelet of the auger and screw the anchor into the ground. Dig a hole using a shovel, if necessary. Space out the remaining anchors along the length of the shelter evenly to match the spacing of the rib sections. Screw the anchors to a depth that leaves only a 1/2-inch showing above ground. Wrap the anchor's cable through the eyelet of the anchor, then around the frame's leg. Repeat for all end and middle section legs, attaching the cable around the middle section foot plates.
-
9
Unscrew the top rail from the top bend and place the webbing for the end panel in between, with the rail passing through the webbing's loop. Reconnect the rail. Remove the nut from the side rail and slide the side rail slightly to allow the webbing to be passed through it. Remove the wind brace briefly when attaching the end panel webbing, then reattach it. Slide the cross rail back into place and resecure it. Repeat the process on the other side of the shelter.
-
10
Pull the end panel webbing to remove any slack from the bottom. Install the S-hook from the ratchet into the leg of the shelter, then insert the webbing into the ratchet spindle and pull tightly. Wind the ratchet using the right size socket so that the webbing overlaps itself. Repeat the process on the other side and arrange the panel so it is centered in the back. Tighten all ratchets.
-
11
Place the cover on the ground next to the shelter, with the pipe pocket sides down and webbing to the front and rear of the shelter. Insert a cover pipe into the pipe pocket slot beginning at the middle ribs sections and working outward. Remove the cover pipe sections to install at the end. Tie a rope on each of the exposed section of pipe in the cover and throw the rope over to the other side of the frame. Walk around the shelter and pull the ropes to lift the cover atop the frame.
-
12
Install the ratchet assembly's S-hook into the legs of the shelter. Pull the webbing carefully to remove any slack on the cover. Insert the webbing in the ratchet's spindle and tighten, winding the ratchet until the webbing overlaps. Repeat the process on the other side.
-
13
Adjust the cover so that it is centered from front to back, then tighten all ratchets in an "X" pattern to ensure that they tighten properly.
-
14
Insert the cover rails into the pipe pockets on each side of the cover. Bolt the rails to the ribs with the supplied three-way and four-way clamps. Verify that the rails are spaced 8 inches above the ground on each side. Push the cover rails and connectors down to tighten the clamps and the cover. Install bolt caps on the exposed bolts.
