Trikke Assembly Instructions

The Trikke is a collapsible folding vehicle, designed for riding by turning and leaning, with each foot on its own wheel. Since the Trikke folds up for easy transportation, it needs to be assembled for use. Putting together the Trikke takes just a few minutes, then you'll be ready to ride on the hard surface of your choosing.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay out the Trikke on a flat surface. Locate the pins on the two legs of the Trikke, found close to the hinge point by the front wheel of the vehicle. Push in the pin on one of the legs, and lift the leg out slightly.

    • 2

Depress the second pin on the second leg with your hands, then lift the handlebars of the Trikke to lock the legs in place, and put the Trikke on all three wheels.

    • 3

Locate the handlebar quick release on the neck of the front of the Trikke. Open up the quick release handle, then pull the handlebar pole up and out of the neck of the Trikke. Push down the quick release handle to lock the bar in place once it's at the appropriate height.

    • 4

Remove the bolts on the top of the handlebar pole using the 5 mm wrench from the Trikke tool kit. Make sure the horizontal groove in the top of the handlebar pole is perpendicular to the vertical grooves in the brackets on the handlebar pole, and that the vertical grooves point towards the back of the Trikke.

    • 5

Stand behind the Trikke so that the handlebars are in your hands and the rear legs of the Trikke are near your legs. Turn the handlebars 180 degrees to twist the brake cables, then push the handlebars over the handlebar pole. Turn the handlebars over the handlebar pole, then twist the handlebars 180 degrees the opposite direction. Seat the handlebars in the handlebar groove on the handlebar pole, then tighten it in place using the cap and the 5 mm wrench from the Trikke tool kit. Make sure the handlebars are rotated in your preferred grip position before you tighten down the bolts in a criss-cross pattern.

    • 6

Loosen the finger screw locking nuts next to the brake handles all the way, then tighten down the finger screws so the brake lines are adjusted as tightly as possible. Turn the Trikke over so the handlebars are on the ground, and make sure the handlebars are in the forward position.

    • 7

Insert the front fork onto the post on the front of the Trikke, then push down the gold button on the post. Slide the fork down until the gold button pops up into the hole of the fork. Tighten down the screws on the fork using the tools from the Trikke tool kit.
