Instructions for a Lever Lock Side Mount Saiga

The Saiga line of rifles and shotguns is a family of semiautomatic long arms manufactured in Russia and imported by the Russian American Armory Company. Chambered in a variety of calibers and ammunition types, they all use the famous Kalashnikov rifle action, first made famous in the AK-47 assault rifle. As with the AK-47, several models of the Saiga feature an accessory plate on the side of the receiver. Accessories, such as scope mounts or optics rails, can be attached to this plate by means of a lever-locking mechanism.
