How to Put a Detachable Mag in an REM 700 Tactical
The Remington 700 is a series of bolt-action center-fire rifles manufactured by the Remington Arms Company and available in a broad variety of calibers. They are noted for their accuracy and are used in a variety of capacities, from hunting and competition to law enforcement and military applications. Several of the 700 series rifles feature a detachable 4-round box magazine, which can be easily inserted for loading or removed for reloading or to store the rifle.

Point the rifle in a safe direction and switch the safety into the "S" position.

Open the action by raising the bolt handle and pulling it straight back to open the chamber.

Take the magazine in your hand and orient it so that the bullet-end of the cartridges is facing toward the muzzle of the rifle.

Insert the magazine upward into the magazine well, located just in front of the trigger guard. Continue to push the magazine up until it clicks into position. The magazine is now inserted into the rifle.
