Instructions for the Topeak Panoram V9

The Topeak Panoram V9 is a minicomputer that you can use with your bicycle. The computer calculates speed and distance using a magnetic wheel sensor. For ease of use, you can mount the Topeak Panoram V9 to the bicycle's handlebar using the included mounting apparatus. To get accurate readings from the computer, you will also need to measure and calculate the circumference of the bicycle's wheel.

Instructions

    • 1

Rotate the cuff of the V9 mount (included with the V9) around the handlebar, then tighten the screw to secure the mount to the handlebars.

    • 2

Place the V9 onto the mount, then tilt the V9 to the desired level and tighten the screw to the right of the V9 to secure the tilt.

    • 3

Tie the wheel sensor to the bike frame near the wheel using the included plastic ties. Make sure the sensor points in toward the wheel.

    • 4

Screw on the included magnet to one of the spokes of the wheel, making sure that it is at the same height as the wheel sensor when the wheel rotates.

    • 5

Measure the diameter of the wheel in millimeters using the tape measure, then multiply this number by 3.14.

    • 6

Press and hold the set and mode buttons together for three seconds, then push the mode button to select whether you want to us km/h or m/h. Press the set button to move on.

Press and hold the mode button for two seconds, then release the button to move to the next digit. Repeat this step until you have entered the whole circumference, then press the set button repeatedly until you exit the setup mode.
